Then you could be the Technical Supervisor – Farm Operations & Asset Lifecycle we are looking for at Florensis Kenya Limited.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Head of Agronomy, this position is responsible for leading day-to-day technical operations, maintenance and asset upkeep to keep farm operations safe, reliable, cost-effective and uninterrupted.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, allocate, prioritize and follow up daily and weekly technical maintenance activities.

• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of greenhouses, farm structures, machinery, equipment and related facilities.

• Coordinate the technical team and ensure effective use of labour, tools, spare parts and materials.

• Oversee steaming operations and ensure work is completed safely and according to schedule.

• Maintain accurate asset registers, maintenance histories, condition records and replacement plans.  

• Prepare quarterly maintenance and asset replacement plans based on operational priorities and lifecycle requirements. 

• Ensure critical spares, tools, consumables and materials are available for planned and urgent work. 

• Monitor compliance with safe work practices, company procedures, Green Trust requirements and other applicable standards. 

• Maintain technical dashboards and submit monthly reports on maintenance, assets, labour utilization, material usage and pending actions.
  

ABOUT YOU

• Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical, Structural or Agricultural Engineering, or a related technical field.

• At least two years' of experience in a similar role within a highly technical floricultural or large-scale horticultural farm.

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and practical knowledge of technical farm maintenance.

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, organize resources, plan work and follow through on assigned tasks.
