Senior Gärtner/Gärtnermeister
As a Cultivation Employee Senior you are involved in cultivation and day-to-day crop care, such as watering the crop. In direct collaboration with the growers and the team of gardeners, you will ensure optimum plant quality and greenhouse optimisation. Your tasks will include monitoring plant growth and identifying irregularities or growth related problems. Biological and chemical crop protection and disease monitoring will play a major role in your responsibilities. You will also be in charge of (minor) (technical) maintenance work.
Sustainability is a key priority in this department. The challenge is to further reduce the use of pesticides while maintaining the same level of quality. You will work on site in a highly committed team of around 15 colleagues. You will also work closely with other responsible parties in the Netherlands.
Preferably, you have a master gardener's degree (preferably in ornamental plant cultivation) or plant technologist or an equivalent qualification;
Several years of professional experience in greenhouse cultivation;
Relevant experience in integrated plant protection;
Affinity for data and technology (climate and irrigation management);
Proactive way of working and analytical thinking;
Excellent written and spoken German and good English skills, Dutch is an advantage.
