What does your role as Head of Cultivation involve?
As Head of Cultivation, you provide technical direction for all cultivation processes and hold final responsibility for the Cultivation department at our Rijsenhout location, with Lisianthus as the primary product group within a broad assortment of young cut‑flower plants. You contribute to consistent quality and reliable delivery within a professional, sustainable growing organization.
What will you be doing?
You lead the cultivation team of five experienced growers and organize the day‑to‑day cultivation activities.
You hold technical responsibility for all cultivation processes, with a strong focus on Lisianthus and consistent quality across all product groups.
You manage for results and quality while allowing space for craftsmanship and professional autonomy.
You identify deviations early and make short‑cycle adjustments based on data, observations, and hands‑on experience.
You initiate and guide structural improvements and trial productions within cultivation and operational processes.
You ensure controlled operational management, including planning, budgets, and investment oversight.
You work closely with other departments and report directly to the Manager Operations.
About you
You possess strong technical expertise in cultivation and have extensive experience in the (greenhouse) horticultural sector.
You have experience leading skilled professionals and know how to bring together different perspectives.
You are decisive, stay on course, and are confident in making well‑founded choices.
You communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with other disciplines.
