We are looking for a Head of Cultivation for our production site in Dinteloord. Are you an experienced crop cultivation expert with a natural sense of leadership, a passion for young plants, an eye for quality, and do you want to work for a sustainable market leader in ornamental horticulture? Then you might be the Head of Cultivation we are looking for.
What does your job as Facilities Assistant at Florensis entail?
As Head of Cultivation, you are responsible for all cultivation activities at our modern production facility in Dinteloord. You will lead a team of 5–10 growers and work closely with colleagues from departments such as Logistics, Planning, Technical Support, and R&D. You play a key role in continuously improving processes, cultivation strategies, and final product quality.
What will you be doing?
Organizing and coordinating the daily cultivation activities at the Dinteloord site.
Leading and motivating the cultivation team.
Collaborating closely with other departments across the company and reporting to the Manager Production.
Encouraging and safeguarding knowledge sharing within the team and ensuring continuous development.
Ensuring that our young plants meet the highest quality standards.
Developing and implementing improvements in processes and techniques.
Together with your team, managing climate, irrigation, nutrition, and crop protection.
About you
You hold a bachelor’s degree in horticulture, plant sciences, or a related field.
You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in (ornamental) horticulture, including in a leadership role.
You are a true connector who knows how to motivate and develop people.
You are fluent in both Dutch and English.
Experience in the propagation of young plants is a plus.
