What does a Manager Young Plant Production NL do at Florensis?

As the Manager Young Plant Production NL, you hold a final responsibility for the dutch production of young plants from seed and cuttings. This includes production at both our own sites in Dinteloord and Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, as well as at external partner locations. From your base in Dinteloord, you are also responsible for all site-related activities at this location.

You actively contribute to the company's strategic direction and make decisions across all disciplines: production (cultivation & quality), operations, planning and logistics. Regarding personnel policy, you work closely with the HRM department and involved staffing agencies.

You have a strong focus on quality, working conditions, safety, and the environment. Additionally, you are responsible for setting and realizing the financial budget for Dutch production. You aim to structure the production organization as efficiently as possible, finding the right balance between product quality and production costs with the ultimate goal of achieving a high level of customer satisfaction.

The team you directly manage consists of the Manager Production (Cultivation), Manager Operations, Manager Production Planning NL and Manager Logistics. You also work closely with the Manager Global Technical Support regarding maintenance and investments for the Dutch greenhouses, buildings and installations.

In this role, you report to the Director Production & Supply Chain.

About you

• You have a completed higher education (HBO/WO) in agriculture or business administration;

• You have at least 10 years of leadership/management experience;

• You are familiar with the dynamics of a production environment;

• You have experience with, or a strong affinity for, the horticultural sector and/or the plant propagation material industry;

• You possess strong communication skills and are a true team player;

• You are a connecting "people manager"who can foster a positive and engaging work atmosphere;

• You are pragmatic and realistic in your approach.
