Senior Distribution Employee
About the role
Working at Florensis Cut Flowers means being part of a colourful, dynamic, and inspiring environment. At Florensis, it’s not only about the young plants we grow from seed, but also about the people who make up our team and the positive working atmosphere we create together.
We are small enough to maintain a personal approach, yet large enough to operate professionally. From our head office in Hendrik‑Ido‑Ambacht and our production locations worldwide, we work every day on quality and innovation. Because we work with a living product, no two days are the same. This creates a challenging work environment where you truly can make a difference.
As a Senior Distribution Employee, you are the connecting link on the shop floor. You maintain overview, actively participate in the work, and ensure that daily operations run smoothly — from order picking in our greenhouses to packing and preparing orders for shipment. You support your colleagues, think ahead, and identify what is needed to keep processes running efficiently and safely. Together, you ensure that every delivery leaves on time and in top condition.
What will you do?
Collecting, distributing, and preparing trays with plant material according to picking lists;
Checking the accuracy of logistics documents against loaded and prepared shipments;
In the absence of the Supervisor, directly coordinating colleagues by setting priorities and monitoring daily activities;
As a senior team member, actively contributing to planning and work preparation for the days ahead;
Ensuring correct use and maintenance of storage and transport equipment and reporting malfunctions in a timely manner;
Complying with safety, hygiene, and quality instructions and contributing to a safe working environment.
Who are you?
You are organised and have a strong sense of planning and structure;
You work accurately and have a keen eye for quality;
You are a team player and support colleagues whenever needed;
You are flexible and feel at home in a dynamic production environment.
What do we ask of you?
Physical work is not a problem for you: moving trays, boxes, pallets, and carts is part of the job. A forklift certificate is preferred (or can be obtained through us);
You are comfortable working in varying temperatures, such as warehouses, cold storage rooms, and greenhouses;
You always prioritise safe working practices;
You speak at least basic Dutch and have a good command of English, sufficient for effective collaboration and clear communication;
Knowledge of Polish is a plus;
You have your own means of transportation to commute to work, as the location is difficult to reach by public transport.
